Back To Reality :(

There is really nothing like Hawaii. Such amazing beaches, beautiful water, that certain smell, its pretty spectacular. We had a great trip, definitely a different kind of trip than we had last year but still so much fun. Coco did great. She is such a trooper... we had her in and out of the car, in her stroller, sling, back to her car seat all day long. She just kept up with it all no problem. She is cooing and smiling a ton and I think her giggle is right around the corner. I can tell she wants to but she can't quite figure out how to make the noise. That will be a fun day when she figures it out!
Waikiki was great and the surf comp on the north shore was really cool to see. It's actually still going on since the surf died and they are waiting for the swell to pick back up to finish. You can check it out at www.reef.com.

to the BEACH!!

Were heading to the north shore... I am so excited to get some sun and soak in the Aloha. We will be spending 2 nights in Waikiki and then a week at Sunset Beach on the north shore. Reef sponsors the Reef Hawaiian Pro surf event which starts mid next week. It is the first of the Van's Triple Crown surf events that happen every winter. Ben LOVE'S it!! For him it is like going to the Oscar's for those who love movies stars. There are pro surfers everywhere and it is so much fun to watch all the amazing athletes in the huge surf. We went last year and had a blast. We even went sky diving together, it was awesome. I posted a few pics from last year.....

This will be Coco's first long flight. She had her two month doctors appointment on Thursday and got her first round of shots. That was NOT FUN! for me or for her but she is such a good girl she only cried for a minute and was back to her sweet cooing self in no time. Ben and I are both ready to get the first flight with the baby out of the way. It will be so much fun to have her with us at the beach! I wonder if she would like sky diving???

Time is flying! Coco is 6 weeks old.

There's no place like home...

Our friend Mario who hasn't seen his wife or children in 2 years left on Thursday to fly back home to Mexico for a long visit. As you can imagine he was so excited he could hardly stand it! He came over to say goodbye, we will miss him this winter but hope to see him in the spring.

It makes me think alot about how much we take for granted having our friends and family so close... I am very grateful and appreciate that so much, I can't imagine not seeing someone I love and care about for that long.

Road tripin to MoAb

We plan to try and travel just as much with Coco as we did without her. We have a couple bigger trips on the calendar before the end of the year so we thought now was just as good of a time as any to get on the road! Moab is also about the same distance from Park City as it is from Aspen so its the perfect spot to meet up with our friends Zach and Erin for the weekend. The weather ended up being really great in Moab considering it was snowing in Park City. Ben got a couple of bike rides in and we were able to hike the Negro Bill Canyon (one of our favorites). Great way to end the summer...
